When you think of Los Angeles the first thing that comes to mind is probably traffic, sun filled days, Hollywood Blvd. etc. However, Los Angeles has an abundance of gorgeous parks and museums to visit and, get this, if you plan it right you wont have to spend a dime! Intrigued? We were too. Most gardens and museums in Los Angeles offer a free day to visit. And we made a list for you, to make it easier for your city exploring.
The first garden we went to on this free day is the Descanso Gardens in Pasadena, CA. (Which has a free day coming up on June 20th) When we ventured to the gardens it had just been raining so the flowers were lush and full of color. We visited their Rose Garden, Camillia Collection and Oak Forest. Each was beautiful, it is very easy to get mesmerized following the trails of flowers that lead to sprawling water falls and hidden bridges. We definitely recommend this garden to any one looking for an oasis in the middle of a huge city.
